CAT/CT Scan

CT scanCAT SCAN OR CT SCAN, otherwise known as computed axial tomography or computed tomography, is an advanced noninvasive technique that uses x-ray beams as well as computers to develop three-dimensional images of an affected body part.

These images are extremely valuable in evaluating fine bony detail such as subtle fractures or in patients who are not able to have MRIs or in patients who have had prior surgery and require evaluation of spinal hardware or progression of spinal fusion, which can show bridging mature bone after six to twelve months from surgery.
